Do better looking sites rank higher on Google?

In its simplest form, no. But the lines are blurry here. Great looking sites encourage visitors to stay on the site. Something called “dwell time.” This is something Google cares about.

So indirectly, it does matter. But it’s not how great a site looks that determines if it ranks. Even terrible looking sites can still rank highly. And chances are high that if you use any of the modern site tools, your site will look great.

The real challenge most photographers face is updating content from time to time… but that’s a whole different story!

Are you going to spend more time making your site the most beautiful site online? Or would you rather people actually find your site?
