How to Move the Needle

I recently saw a social media post from a friend and mentor who talked about "PBT" versus "OBT."
I think a lot of times, we spend our time and energy in "PBT," Process-based thinking insted of Outcome-based thinking.
We go through the motions rather than try to create or move towards a desired outcome.
By spinning our wheels, we feel busy, but we're not making any progress.
Just like a stairmaster at the gym makes us feel like we're climbing stairs, but at the end of the workout, we're still on the gym floor. We're exhausted, but we haven't left our starting point.
To move the needle, work towards outcomes rather than motions.
