People frequently tell me that they're afraid to move towards their goals, visions, dreams, or desires because of how risky it is.

And they tell me that the economy is soft, or that no one is hiring, or that they haven't been able to find any other jobs. And that's their proofof the risk.

Bad news: The economy won't give you a safety net. The unemployment rate (typically an indicator of how strong the economy is--how many people who want jobs currently are out of work. Anything lower than 5% unemployment is considered "full employment," or a "strong economy." For context, the unemployment rate during the Depression was about 25%)

The lastest rate I found was for last month. It's 4.4%.

Companies are hiring.

My point is that the job market won't make you feel safe. Neither will working for the "right" employer.

Remember when Government jobs were "safe?"

Not any more. (Really, they never were.)

Security doesn't come from your income. Or your employer. Or the weather. Or the economy. Or anything else.

It comes from you knowing that you will figure it out. Whatever happens. You'll make it work out.

You are the only thing you can truly count on. So build your trust in YOU.
