How to prove that fear isn't real

Good morning, ,

When I was in college, a friend told me he was going skydiving that weekend.

"Want to join me?," he asked.

I was in!

A "tandem jump" means I was strapped to an experienced skydiver and my only skill was to fall. My training: "When I tell you to, put your feet on this little step, then roll out of the plane."

And at about 9,000 feet, I did exactly that. You'll hever guess how it feels to jump out of a plane.

It feels like...FALLING!

For a second. And then it feels like....nothing.

I was just there. Not falling. Not terrified.

Just there.

Kind of how you feel reading this. It's...fine, but kind of non-descript. (But skydiving was more windy!)

Fear hits hard and fast, and then it disappears. It feels real, but it's not dangerous.

If you're willing to experience a second or two of discomfort, you can accomplish incredible things!

Let's do this!
