Balancing Motherhood, Career Change, and Community

Hello, ,

This week’s podcast episode brings you a truly relatable journey. Meet Jen Disney, a marine biologist who bravely decided to chart a new course in her career (and life).

From Childhood Dream to Honest Reflection

Jen spent nearly 20 years working toward and living her childhood dream—marine biology. But after stepping into leadership, becoming a mom, and facing industry changes, she realized the dream wasn’t as fulfilling as she hoped. “I’ve lost a little bit of understanding myself and my needs and my wants,” Jen shared.

Redefining Success & Taking the Leap

Success for Jen now means more autonomy, balance, and connection with her family and community. She made the bold decision to step away from her career and launch Crispy Comfort Co., a Rice Krispie treat business that brings her joy and lets her serve her local community in Orange County. (Her pumpkin spice brown butter Krispies sound amazing!)

Why Jen’s Story Matters

Jen’s journey is a powerful reminder: It’s okay to change course—even completely—and design a new version of success. Community, family, and following your joy can become just as meaningful as your original dreams.
