Midnight Magic (Caswell Convict) is 2 DAYS AWAY!!!!!!
That’s pretty much going to take center stage of this entire newsletter, whiiiiiich is kinda fitting, seeing as it’s almost all I can think about!
And what’s taking up the rest of the space in my brain, you wonder?
4 months till my birthday (AKA my wedding weight goal)… Eeek!
(Pleaseeee pray to the weight loss gods for me to get a hold of my mild food obsession for the next several months!)
5 months till I complete my degree!
(Aaaand there might be another fun bookish thing happening in September too… More to come soon!)
7 months till we tie the knot!
?? months till Aleia’s Choice release!
(Yeah, I know. I still don’t have a release date yet. Booo! :( Buuuuuut because of the above, it’ll likely be a fall/winter situation. I know, I know… just trying to be realistic here. Don’t hate me, please!)
?? months till Orion’s Order book 5 first draft is complete!
(Okay, I literally have no idea when this will be but best believe Aleia’s Choice and OO #5 are def high on my list!)
Alright, now you know why I’m pretty much in a state of perma-haven’t-washed-my-hair-or-put-on-makeup-in-a-hundred-years and feel like Gollum crouched over my laptop from sunup to sundown, grumbling about college essays being ridiculously dry and boring (I mean, where’s the romance? Where’s the steam? Where’s the adventure? And, really, who actually cares about APA formatting?!)
If you can’t tell, I DESPERATELY MISS ALL OF MY TIME BEING DEDICATED TO WRITING EPIC PARANORMAL ROMANCE STORIES SO EFFING MUCH!!!!!!!!!
Buuuuuut I will say that I fully believe this momentary and unexpectedly forceful shift in my schedule this year has one million-billion-zillion-gagillion percent positively impacted my storytelling skills! I’ll share more—likely, a lot more—on this with you in the future.
But for now, I’ll just say that a lot of it revolves around the concept that:
Sometimes, taking a mini time-out and temporary step back can provide profound perspective, epiphanic clarity, and reinvigorate the soul!
And that is where we shall end this little chat. Plus, a question for you:
- Where in your life do you feel like you’re wearing blinders?
- Where in your life do you feel like you could benefit from pausing, taking a deep breath, and stepping back to gain a broader perspective, insight, and clarity?
Okay, that was technically two questions buuuuut I couldn’t choose between the two so you get both to ponder! :)
