Midweek Refresh
Sep 06, 2023 7:45 pm
At the very last minute, I decided to flip a switch and change today's email format. As creative people (everyone is creative), we need to build systems that help us thrive. Some people say it's impossible to find fulfillment in every area of your life, My response is that it depends on what your definition of fulfillment is.
It is another Wednesday, and although this email is coming late, it is definitely my own little way of holding you accountable by reminding you to pick up a pen and paper, pause, and reflect on your week so far. With time, you would be able to get "routine ready" without me nudging you. So let's get down to business.
Reminder , "Every Wednesday, our Midweek Refresh arrives to help you stay aligned with your weekly goals and tasks. It delves into your week's plans, tracks any setbacks, and sets you up for a refreshed start on Thursday" As we find ourselves squarely in the middle of the week, it's the perfect time to take stock, realign your goals, and power through to the weekend

Mindless Flow: Before we jump into the week's nitty-gritty, let's get those creative juices flowing. Find a cozy corner, grab your favorite notebook and pen, and just let your thoughts flow like a river. No need to worry about grammar or structure—just write whatever comes to mind. It's a warm-up for your mind, helping you approach the day with fresh ideas.
Performance Checkpoint: Now, let's get down to business. Reflect on your week so far. What projects, tasks, and events have colored your days? How have your intentions aligned with your actions? Consider the feedback you've received—both praise and critique. What changes do you feel compelled to make? Were there deadlines you conquered, or did any slip through the cracks? Recognize where you excelled ahead of time.
Tomorrow's Blueprint: As we wrap up today, let's prepare for tomorrow and the days beyond. How can you leverage the insights gained from your reflection to optimize your tasks and strategies for Friday and the upcoming weekend? Plot your blueprint for the rest of the week with clarity and intention.
Learning Focus: Lastly, think about one thing you're excited to learn before Sunday rolls around. Whether it's a skill, a piece of knowledge, or a new perspective, setting this mini-goal keeps your growth on track.
Remember, Midweek Reset isn't just about checking off tasks—it's about mindful progress that aligns with your long-term vision.
So, grab your notebook, embrace the Mindless Flow, and let's make this Wednesday count. Your journey to a successful week continues.
1. Projects, Tasks, and Events: Reflect on the projects, tasks, and events that you engaged in during the week. Note down the most significant ones that took up your time and energy.
2. Intentions and Actions: Consider the intentions you had at the beginning of the week—the things you aimed to achieve. Now, analyze how well your actions align with these intentions. Did you manage to work on what you had planned?
3. Feedback Analysis: Take a moment to recall any feedback you received throughout the week. This could be both positive (applause) and constructive (critique). Record the nature of the feedback and its source.
4. Changes: Based on the insights gained from your intentions, actions, and feedback, identify any changes you feel compelled to make. This could involve adjustments to your approach, communication, or tasks.
5. Deadlines Assessment: Review the deadlines you had for various tasks or projects. Note down which ones you successfully met, which ones you missed, and if there were any you managed to surpass ahead of schedule.

6. Excelled Moments: Reflect on instances where you excelled beyond your expectations. These could be areas where you displayed remarkable efficiency, creativity, or productivity.
I omitted the Google doc that had the table of what to do let me know if you prefer this in the body of the email or as a Word document or Google doc
