Just in time for Summer

I hope your summer has gotten off to a nice start, not too hot and humid or overcast and rainy. I wish you all the cool breeze and sunshine your heart desires. Make sure you get your vitamin D in. I’ll leave the choice of which one up to you. Hell, take a daily dose of both. I will never be mad at you.

I know I’ve teased you long enough about Lorenzo and Onika’s story and I am happy to say they will be on your Amazon page on June 29th. I’m really excited for you to meet this couple.

Here is an excerpt:

“Ah, Zo?” Marcello, who he’d picked to learn the business and take over once Gio was satisfied with Zo’s progress, stood at the door. His tentative voice betrayed the fact he had overheard Zo talking to the purring feline on his desk. It wasn’t uncommon, and Zo no longer gave a shit who overheard him anymore. “I, ah, have someone interested in filling Diamond’s spot.”
Diamond had quit yesterday. No explanation. Not that one was necessary for their line of business, but Oliveri’s clubs had the lowest turnover rates for a reason. The dancers were paid well and treated better.
This new candidate appeared at the right time. Zo shifted his gaze to the beautiful woman standing behind Marcello and frowned. She didn’t belong in a place like Pink Paradise.
Her eyes had a softness that life’s hardships hadn’t deadened yet. Not that Pink Paradise treated its dancers the way other clubs did, pressuring them to sacrifice everything for a buck. But the work wore on the dancers who weren’t cut out for working in a highly sexualized environment surrounded by men who frequently forgot the strict “No Touching” rules.
Hell, the way her brown skin gleamed under the shitty lights from the hallway, he’d have trouble remembering not to touch. And the contrast of her light-colored eyes against her dark skin, damn near guaranteed her safety would become an issue with their more zealous patrons.
Zo allowed his gaze to roam over her once more. When his body began reacting, he returned to her face. “Sorry, you don’t have what we’re looking for.”
Her eyes widened prior to narrowing on him in fury. Marcello turned to escort her out. She snatched her arm away and marched up to Zo, planting her hands squarely on his desk.
“Give me a chance. I’ll learn, whatever it takes,” she beseeched him.
His silence was his answer.
“Fine, if you won’t give me a job here, Hedona is hiring.”
“You won’t be any luckier there either.”
She arched her brow at him in challenge. His groin tightened. Only one woman had ever caused an instant reaction like this in him, and she had been off-limits even before their first meeting. But this one in front of him had potential. Between her attitude and her Caribbean accent, Jamaican if he had to guess, Zo was undecided as to what turned him on more.
The things he could make her say…
His dick was well past intrigued, having raised its head all the way up in anticipation of what could be.
“Leave us,” Lorenzo growled at Marcello, who fled the room and closed the door, giving them the privacy implied in Lorenzo’s order.
Assured they were alone, Lorenzo allowed the silence to stretch. The woman, unaffected by the power play, stared him down. “I don’t fuck the dancers.”
“Good to know. When can I start?”
“You misunderstand. I am not hiring you, because, when we fuck, I don’t want you confusing an employee/employer relationship with something else.”

Woo! These two together have given me some moments. I can’t wait for you to read more.

What's Next?

Hate not being able to pre-order my books? Well, in July I will be posting a pre-order for the Christmas book in the Curves for Christmas collaboration I mentioned before, Caught Red Handed. It is with the editor now and I’ll give you a glimpse of the book cover next month. Yomaris and Lochlann were so much fun to write. Their story isn’t my typical mafia romance as it is light on the dangerous mafia elements but heavy on the romance with a few giggles in between.

I may not be able to share much with you yet, but I can give you a taste of the blurb:

A Christmas bandit. A mafia bar owner. An unlikely holiday match.

How to live a peaceful life.

Rule Number One: Don’t steal from the mob.

Rule Number Two: In the event that you ignore rule number one, don’t get caught.

Did Yomaris follow her own amazing advice? Nope.

After robbing a mark of every piece of high-end jewelry and black market artwork he owned, she unknowingly took a necklace steeped in lore. The next thing she knew, her mark moved into her apartment with his dog. On top of that, he informed her that she now belonged to him, and he vowed to take care of his belongings.

His promise certainly made her rebellious lady parts tingle. It was the Christmas season after all and she’d been caught red handed.

Oh, yeah.

Rule Number Three: Don’t have a one-night stand with the guy you robbed.

Too late, Yomaris. Too late.

I also want to give a shout out to Cassan Francois for naming the incorrigible animals. I love the names you chose. Check out the story to meet the new fur babies.
