Hi ,
Last week we talked about teaching our children to say "No" and to accept it.
This week, I want to ask you something:
Where is your teenager learning what love looks like?
If it's from TikTok, music videos, or their friends, they may be learning that jealousy means someone cares, that checking your phone is normal, and that "If you loved me, you would…" is romantic.
It isn't.
Here are three conversations worth having this week:
1. Name the red flags together. Possessiveness, isolation from friends and family, pressure disguised as love, and threats when someone wants to leave. Share this simple rule: if you feel scared to say no to someone, that relationship is not safe.
