A Mountain to Climb

Happy New Year! Or is it too late to say that? I'm not up on my social greetings.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas time enjoying family and remembering the birth of our Savior. I did. It's hard to believe it's 2021 already. I'm not sure what this year holds, but I know Who does know, and He has promised to never leave nor forsake. His mercies are new every morning. What a blessed thought!

Since it is January, I feel like tackling a mountain and accomplishing something. Do you feel the same way? One mountain in particular has been calling me for some time now, and when I realized that I was not alone, I decided to gather a group together because there's accountability in numbers. Or was that safety? Either way works. This mountain comes in different sizes depending on the person. Mine isn't nearly as high as some others, but it's still daunting.

You want to know the mountain?

Mt. TBR otherwise known as that stack of To Be Read books.

Yep, I have a reading challenge created specifically to work on that towering mountain of books you want to read but haven't read yet.

Here are a few things to know about this reading challenge:

  • All books read must have been on your TBR (to be read) list before 2021.
  • You can earn points by reading books.
  • You can earn points by reviewing books.
  • You can redeem those points for kindle or audio books from me.
  • You have 6 months to read all 24 books on the list. (Or as many as you can get read.)
  • You may read these books in any order you choose.
  • To find out more, visit the 2021 Reading Challenge page or the Blog Post about it.

Does this sound like something you'd like to be a part of? If you want to join, simply reply to this email with your name and let me know you'd like to join. Come join the ranks of the fearless who are tackling their mountains in, I fear, a vain hope to reach the top. We might not reach the top, but we can make progress.

Are you reading any good books lately? If so, I'd love to hear what they are. I'm always looking for more good books. Wait. Why am I asking for more book recommendations when I am trying to conquer Mt. TBR? If you can answer that, please let me know!

And with that, I'll say goodbye. I'd love to have you join the Reading Challenge and make a dent in your TBR stack.
