Happy New Year!

Yes, I do realize that I missed Christmas, but December was crazy. In the first place, it went by way too quickly. In the second place, we were busy. In the third place it just didn't feel like it was time for Christmas again. Didn't we just have Christmas?

But that was last year. Today is the 5th day of 2024. Already! I don't know about you, but I was ready to get back into the regular groove of life after being busy in December. I finally got to write yesterday which was so nice! I've missed it. The break was good, but when stories are bouncing around in your brain, or shoving to get written, you know it's time to write again.

Speaking of writing, I have another hint for Secret Project. I'm hoping to get back to that story next week. But your hint is:

Hint #3: The title is 10 words long.

If you have been a reader of my Friday blog, you'll probably remember that I put the blog into retirement last year. I did bring it out briefly in the fall to share a story or two. Well, this year, at least through July, I will be sharing one short story a month. Some might have two parts to them, others will just be one post long. The first story posts Next Friday. If you are a KDWCer, you might recognize some of these stories, but it will have been a while, so they might be fun to read again.

And now I need to go finish cleaning the house and get some things organized, and take care of laundry. And there are stories to write and books to read, and it's even sleeting and snowing just a little. I hope you have a wonderful end to your first week of 2024!
