Just a Life Update and an Invitation

Good morning!

The windows are open here right now and I'm enjoying the cooler temperatures. It's not cold by any means, but cooler is delightful after a hot and dry summer. I'm having a hard time believing it is September even though this is our 7th day of the month!

Life has been crazy since . . . *tries to think* Well, let's just say for many weeks. Here's a quick look at what my life has been like.

  • Working for Light of Faith 1-2 days a week. Sometimes half days, sometimes almost full days. I pull orders, tape boxes, restock shelves, pull orders, tape boxes, and pull orders.
  • Watching the Little League World Series near the end of August.
  • Writing and formatting this year's Christmas Play for church. (I have to have it ready to make copies by Sunday.)
  • Working on rereading, editing, finalizing stories and cover for Another Homewood Christmas. (There are still openings HERE if you want to sign up to read and review a story from the collection, or just help promote it.)
  • Trying to get my posts for FFF done. Yep, I'm participating in the Five Fall Favorites this year! (Your invitation is down below.)
  • Volleyball has started for 6 of my 8 nieces and nephews which means I often have the youngest one or two here during games. Sometimes more than that if others aren't playing and want to just hang out here and build lego or read books, or if they need to work on school.
  • Attempting to get blog posts done because life gets busy and and doesn't seem to slow down once fall hits.
  • Put in my application for a passport.
  • Reading
  • Visits from my aunt and grandpa.
  • Designing the cover for the Joy collection and being available to help with that as needed.
  • Proof listening to audio chapters of my book By Paths Unknown.

"And that," said John, "is that."

(Can anyone tell me what that quote if from?)

I wish I could tell you all the progress I've made in writing and which story is coming out next. But since I've only written 14k words last month, I don't have much progress to report. I am hoping to publish Heroes Without Capes sometime, but I need to find an image of a doberman shepherd that I can use. If any of you lovely readers have a doberman shepherd or knows someone who does, and you want to take a picture for the cover of this book, let me know!

I am hoping to get to work on my Secret Project. Maybe today!

Sorry there isn't more fun writing and book things to share. Here's your official invitation to the FFF.

Isn't it cute?

Anyway, I hope to see you there! And maybe the weather will keep getting more fall-like. One can always hope and dream, right? And now I'm going to end this and see if I can get some blog posts worked on. For some reason they aren't writing themselves. Have a lovely September!
