Three Books, Two Chances, and One Busy Life
Jul 15, 2021 12:54 am
Hello. Life is busy. And it's just getting busier. Not only is the King's Daughters' Writing Camp going on, not only did I just hit Publish on a book, not only am I trying to keep up with the writing 100 words (or more) for 100 days challenge, but we are also starting prep for gutting the last two rooms in our house and redoing them and finishing the hall. These rooms still have the old lath and plaster, square nails, and who knows what else in them. The floors are a little scary in places and it's going to be quite interesting. But this also means we have to pack up several thousand books that line the walls in the hall, move my sister's entire sewing business upstairs to the back room, and then move my parents out of their room. Yep, the sewing room and my parents' room are finally getting done. We've only lived in this house for over 30 years. ;)

The biggest news is that I pushed the Publish button on . . . Phil Wood! Yes, after writing, rewriting, changing scenes, cutting scenes, and more rewriting, this book is finally done!
The kindle is already out and ready for purchase. I'm in hopes that the paperback won't be far behind. Get your kindle copy HERE.

The next item of news is that plans for this year's Five Fall Favorites are in the works! If you have a blog and are interested in possibly being one of the 9 bloggers for this blog party, please fill out THIS FORM. This is not a commitment that you will do it, it is just to find out who might be interested in doing it. And since there are only a certain number of bloggers who can be a part, we may not be able to accept everyone who asks. :) The genres are picked, the dates set, now we just need bloggers.

Moving on to another bit of news. Two author friends of mine are doing a joint release of their pro-life books this October. They would love to get 64 bloggers to participate in the release to represent the 64 million unborn lives lost to abortion since Roe v. Wade. I have read a very early version of one of the stories and it was heartbreaking and yet so good and hopeful. If you would like to join the bloggers standing for life with these new books, you can sign up HERE.

KDWC is going well. We have not only reached our previous number of campers, we have gone over 100! We are blown away by God's amazing goodness and blessing on this camp. He's granted wisdom when situations have come up, and we are encouraged by the support and love the campers show toward each other. I've been writing short stories this month because my brain is so busy with house stuff, and publishing Phil Wood and camp that I haven't been able to really brainstorm the next part of some of my longer books. But that's okay, right?

And I just realized that I almost forgot to tell you about the two other new books I just published. *sigh* I'm telling you, my brain is over crowded these days.
Dancing with Fireflies is a pocket book. Just the right size to tuck into a card, purse, or well, pocket.
Don't forget the fireflies...
Serenity Darling has it all—a great job, a good salary, clients clamoring for her work. So why is her happiness and contentment steadily slipping away?

And my very first HARDBACK book! I compiled the first 12 Christmas Collection stories into one nice hardcover titled Christmas Day Joyous. Isn't it pretty?
Savor the warmth of the season with this special collection of twelve short stories from Rebekah A. Morris's Christmas Collection!
The holidays can bring unexpected stress--a ruined school play, a Christmas Eve break-in, or a crowd of stranded motorists. But they're also packed with opportunities for family togetherness--for healing old wounds, rediscovering simple pleasures, and reviving old traditions. They're full of chances to show love to strangers--a college friend sharing a family celebration, a lonely child looking for shelter from the cold, or an immigrant family bravely trying to make a home. And above all, they're a time of miracles--an unplanned meeting in a blizzard that mends a broken family, an open door that ushers in an unexpected reunion, and a set of unforeseen delays that result in a perfectly-timed rescue.
Whether your holiday ideal involves snowballs and sledding, shows and singing, or sacrifice and sharing, you're sure to find it here, along with a large serving of the true meaning of Christmas!

Whew! If you made it to the end, pat yourself on the back. Thanks for sticking around for all my bits of news. Maybe next month's newsletter won't be quite so busy. What do you like hearing about in these newsletter? New books? Random bits about my life? Opportunities to be a part of something? Anything? Nothing? Reply and let me know!
