Learn Sermon Sketchnotes with Raven

Hi Friends.

Guess what! I’ve just realized now is the perfect time for you to learn Sermon Sketchnoting.

Sermon Sketchnotes is the visual note taking that I share on my social feeds and that you’ve seen others do.

Theres even a whole facebook community about it or you can search instagram for #sermonsketchnotes community

So why is this the perfect time to learn?

Watching church from home gives you the freedom to:

  1. setup an area just like you like
  2. not worry about any curious onlookers
  3. and most of all — pause and rewind as necessary

PLUS with what’s going on you’ll get to engage my favorite benefits of sketch noting:

  1. It takes concentrating - no room for anything else
  2. It really puts the word in your heart - you’re paying closer attention and you remember more
  3. It really makes notes that are fun to revisit for you - and share with others.

A couple of years ago I tried several times to get together a book of my notes from church. I’m still working on that and want to use this shelter in place time to do that as well.

But I’ve already shared Learning Sermon Sketchnotes class as a life group, online, and offered it at Clement.

Why wouldn’t I try to do it online now for my friends ?!?!

Now, full disclosure, if you’re my friend you know I love to start things. So I need to feel you doing this with me or I’ll definitely quit.

I’m battling chest congestion right now that I hope isn’t the virus but I have quarantined myself to my bedroom.

God’s given me every resource to reach out to you from my freakin’ bed — so it should be easy on my end but I still need your energy and support if you want to do this.

And it’s not just for adults, kids and families can do this as well. As a matter of fact sketch noting is great for studying in school and retaining information in meetings.

I have met sermon sketchnoters that are teachers and scientists that use sketch notes in every area of their life. I’ll even link interviews with them to the bottom of this page.

So traditionally how I’ve taught this is in a format called Ready By Sunday.

That’s 30 minutes a day for 5 days

Over the next week we will take 30 minutes a day to cover the basics of sermon sketchnotes.

You will get a video lesson, a devotion to sketchnote and a community of other learners to offer encouragement.

If you're down to start just sign up so I can send you more info.

Mad Love,

Raven
