My strategic selections were based on these checklists:

• Must benefit from rising inflation
• Must benefit from increased energy costs and transport
• Must not be exposed to exchange rate depreciation but book a sizable profit from FX gains to cover higher finance costs.

This was a painstaking process because I had 100+ stocks to select from but I am glad I found the few companies that passed my stringent criteria.
