Machine knitting for beginners and my current favorite yarns
Mar 18, 2022 12:20 am
Dear creative friends,
We are starting a basic machine knitting technique series. See the tutorials below about casting on and casting off for beginners. The video links are in the blog posts or visit the "CreativeTien" YouTube channel.
I also want to share some of my favorite yarns for machine or hand-knitting. The following may contain affiliate links, and we get a small fee for qualified purchases without any extra cost to you.
- Knit Picks Stroll: Fingering weight yarn, a mix of nylon and wool, and comes with lots of colors.
- Stroll Tonal: Same as above but with beautiful color variations. It is good value and is machine-washable.
I can see myself knitting shawls, socks, or any spring accessories from these yarns. Good balance of value, quality, and colors.
The "loop through loop" and the sewing bind off
The latch tool bind-off and around the gate peg cast-off
Transfer tool cast off and variations - Simple, No hole, and Even-tension
Double e-wrap, latch tool, and crochet hook cast on
Machine Knitting basics – Cast on with waste yarn, ravel cord, and e-wrap
I appreciate all your support for the CreativeTien YouTube channel and blog.
Happy knitting!
