Dear Readers,
Things have been a little crazy.
Let me explain.
Last week, I was bitten by a cat. I've never been bitten by a cat before, so I was surprised by just how much it hurt. My immediate thought was, "but I write so many vampire romances about girls being punctured by teeth...I HAVE to be stronger than this!"
I am not stronger than this.
Jack took me to urgent care. I got on antibiotics right away, but I still ended up getting sick and having to go back in. I shared this on Facebook - and many of you knew! - but for anyone who doesn't, let me serve as a warning!
Cats have a lot of bacteria in their mouths, and when they puncture your skin, the wounds are so deep that they're difficult to clean. This means that if you're bitten by a cat, it's important to get on antibiotics right away. A few of my readers shared Facebook comments describing much more serious reactions than what I had. My heart goes out to everyone who has gone through this! It's not fun!
I'm now a week out from being bitten, but I'm still feeling, well, not 100%. That's okay. I'm sure I'll get there soon. I'm resting as much as I can!
In other news, I am busy with final edits of KISS OF WRATH AND MAGIC. This is the fifth Sweet Nightmares book. It is available for pre-order on Amazon now; however, it will be a wide release. If you like to read on Google or Apply or anywhere at all, I've got you covered.
