Before joining the world of media and entertainment, I spent years working for the highest-quality advertising agencies. There, I spend my time close to creative copywriters, art directors, designers... Advertisers have several ideas for advertising campaigns. I asked one of these copywriters how to developing so many ideas.

He was surprised and taken aback by his statement, "I just take things without permission." "I mean it, i don't copy ideas. I just derive my ideas from what worked in the past, things like that." "It results in a Frankenstein of ideas."

I was blown away. This man had just told me he steals ideas for pay! And then it dawned on me that there are no original ideas. Sometimes the simple fact is clear, sometimes it's not. But everything, design, visual, video, ... is just an equivalent of other ideas.

If you come to the view that originality doesn't exist, the pressure to create vanishes. A whole world of possibilities opens up. You forget about the other world and gain the psychological fulfillment that this type of work can create.

A tweet, book, or YouTube video is a great source of new muses. Take these new ideas and apply them to your own writing.
