4 companies paying for your thoughts and opinions

User Interviews

User Interviews is one of the most popular companies out there when it comes to getting paid for your opinion. They work with some of the biggest brands in the world, such as Google, Facebook, and Netflix.

Joining User Interviews is free, and they have a 4-step application process:

  • Create an account
  • Complete a screener
  • Schedule an interview
  • Complete the interview and get paid

Payments are usually paid through gift cards (you can pick anything from Amazon to Applebees); however, some interviews will compensate you via PayPal. Just check the payment method when you’re applying.

DScout

DScout is a company that’s very similar to User Interviews. They also work with big brands, such as Spotify and Airbnb.

The process of joining DScout is pretty simple. All you need to do is fill out a short form about yourself, and then you’ll be able to apply for missions and express missions from their app dashboard.

Missions are basically surveys that you can do from your phone. They will usually take place over a set period to gauge how your opinion changes. Payment is made via PayPal shortly after the mission closes.

Please note that when applying for DScout missions, they will ask you to do a video recording as part of the process. It may not be suitable for those who are camera shy.

UserTesting

UserTesting is a company that pays you to test websites and give feedback on your user experience. They also host interviews that range from 30 minutes to two hours.

The application process for UserTesting is pretty straightforward. You just need to take a sample test so they can assess your testing skills. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to apply for paid testing assignments.

Tests usually take around 20 minutes to complete, and you’ll be paid $10 via PayPal for each one. Interviews are paid at $10 per ten minutes, so for a 60-minute chat, you’ll earn $60.
