Interesting Reads
Thinking means concentrating on one thing long enough to develop an idea about it
"What we don’t have, in other words, are thinkers. People who can think for themselves. People who can formulate a new direction: for the country, for a corporation or a college, for the Army—a new way of doing things, a new way of looking at things. People, in other words, with vision."
"Looking closely is valuable at every scale. From looking closely at a sentence, a photograph, a building, a government. It scales and it cascades — one cognizant detail begets another and then another. Suddenly you’ve traveled very far from that first little: Huh."
"First, a lot of ads work simply by raising awareness. These ads are essentially telling customers, "FYI, product X exists. Here's how it works. It's available if you need it."
How I Overcame the Fear of Public Speaking
"Know your audience. I find that the more I learn about my audience in advance, the less nervous I become. Along with helping me tailor the material, it humanizes them and highlights common ground."
Learning
"Centralized platform for PhD-level courses. Spend less time searching, more time researching."
Tools and Resources
"Create process or product documentation on-demand. Build your team knowledge base effortlessly. Train teammates and customers faster."
"Hive Index is a directory of online communities, organized by topic, platform, and community features."

Quote of the Week
“I never allow myself to have an opinion on anything that I don’t know the other side’s argument better than they do.”
