Week 2 deep reflective prompt for you, {{contact.first_name}}?
Mar 18, 2024 8:00 am
Peace be upon you,
I remember an incident some years ago as I was coming back from work and tried to cross a narrow road. The road was swamped with bike riders competing for passengers to take to their destinations, hence they were driving dangerously. I tried my best to look out on both sides to ensure I wasn't moving into the way of one of them. Alas! I was almost hit by a biker when it suddenly appeared in my front without notice. In my reaction, I did "uwaka" - an abuse in Hausa literally meaning "your mother". After realising what I had done was very inappropriate no matter what had happened, I quickly said, "I'm sorry" as I waved my hand at them (the rider and the elderly person behind him) I felt bad for my action and scolded myself for being reactive.
Our souls are aware of what is wrong and what is right, hence it tends to make corrections as soon as possible except where the heart is already dead or covered in dark spots.
This week's prompt:
The Prophet(SAW) said "when the servant commits sins, a black mark appears on his heart" are you darkening or brightening your heart on a daily basis?
Action.
Journal in your notebook about this prompt. Be as truthful with yourself as possible. Be as vulnerable as possible with your Lord where there's a need to, and ask for His help always. This month is blessed and within it is a night better than a thousand nights.
Until next week, have an amazing week, filled with rewarding ibadah. π€²
To your awesomeness,
Raheemah
