After some Democratic Senators voted with the Republicans to open government---there was a lot of frustration among many of us who felt the leverage was lost by giving up the resistance. Since that time, there has been some debate about the decision.

HOWEVER, the importance to have a STRONG DEMOCRATIC party is NOT debatable and it is absolutely essential to resist the current authoritarian administration and create a more hopeful future for our country.

Here in Virginia, we have an opportunity to create and influence a vibrant Democratic party that fully supports new, progressive, all different ages, races, gender choice candidates----all who are engaged and active members in their community. We NEED new faces, new energy ---and we MUST support these much needed changes in our Democratic Party.

We MUST take action TODAY.  Please sign up as a member of the RURAL Caucus by November 30, 2025. You can not vote if you sign up after that date (a rule that needs changing). Also, the $20 is voluntary and not mandatory for membership.
