Latest news.
The Phoenix heat is starting to let up. Tuesday the forecast said, "101-VERY HOT!" I had to laugh. 101 is sweater weather for Phoenix! We are enjoying the cool-down while it lasts. I even got out to trim back the horribly invasive bamboo trying to grow into my fig tree, again! Granted, I was a pool of sweat when I was done, but us Arizonans have to take advantage of these cooler days when we get them!
We'll be adding another chicken to our flock later this month. A Rhode Island Red that we have preemptively named Reba. I don't have an actul picture of Reba yet, obviously.
In the meantime, here's Sketch the cat staring down the rooster from next door that keeps hopping the wall into our yard. I've nicknamed him Rotisserie. Our girls do NOT like him. The neighbor is going to try to come get him - AGAIN!
The neighbor's other rooster picks on him so he's looking for a new home for him. Then at least our girls can go back to enjoying their yard in peace.
I'm still planning and plotting Book 2 and beyond in the Saguaro Springs series. Book 1, Mistletoe Ranch, was part of the Butterscotch Martini Girl's 2024 Kickstarter boxed set. Mistletoe Ranch will be re-released later this year on all the usual retail outlets. I'll let you know when that hits! But since that story was so much fun to write, I've started on Book 2, so it can hopefully be released soon after Mistletoe Ranch!
I'm still hard at work getting my backlist into audiobook. Hopefully, I'll have some buy links to post for my next newsletter!
Seducing The Succubus, and Sleeping With Shadows are already in audio if you're looking for an audiobook to keep you busy...and warm...this summer!
All that is keeping me pretty busy these days!
Until next time! Stay safe out there, and happy reading!
