The Modern Option Offense

Davidson (#1 Rush 309.2 yards per game, #2 scoring 40.0) is going to use a modern option running attack to move the chains and put the ball in the end zone, and they are exceptional at it.

So, option doesn’t have to be from the traditional under-center formations. It can be incorporated in the sets that spread offenses utilize. Regardless, option offense is alive and well at every level.
