Coach ,
In 1976, six offensive line coaches got together with the mindset of improving their understanding of the game and themselves as coaches.
46 years later, the C.O.O.L. Clinic is the premier clinic for Coaches of Offensive Line, but it truly delivers the core knowledge of what makes the X’s & O’s that are on the chalkboard work on the grass and turf.
The 2022 Clinic will be delivered virtually again, but its director Bob Wylie has added sessions that expand beyond the scope of technique and scheme.
It kicks off with Jon Gruden presenting what he looks for in hiring an offensive line coach. Knowing what to expect and what to prepare for is so important in getting the job you desire, and Coach Gruden will be sharing that knowledge with you.
Coach Wylie has also added a clinician to share the body mechanics of defensive line play. Mike Waufle, who coached Aaron Donald and is now his personal coach, will be presenting on the defensive line. What he shares will be very useful in understanding what an offensive lineman has to deal with so that he can be coached to win in any situation.
Like last year, the clinic will include the coaches from the highest level championship teams:
- Kevin Carberry - Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams,
- Matt Luke - FBS National Champion Georgia Bulldogs, Grouping Your Schemes, How to Simplify Your Teaching
- Marty Costello - CFL Grey Cup Champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Also presenting will be:
- Joe Philbin, Dallas Cowboys - 5 Man Empty Protection
- Andy Heck, Kansas City Chiefs - Teaching and Drilling Pass Protection
- Ron Crook, 2021 Cincinnati Bearcats - Inside Zone Fundamentals
- Cody Kennedy, Arkansas Razorbacks - Gap Scheme Combos And GT Counter To A 3 Man Surface
- Brent Davis, Army West Point - Integrating Conventional Run Concepts and Techniques Into An Option Offense
- Kyle Caskey, NFL Runningbacks Coach - Exotic Pressure Pickup Schemes
- Craig Doman, Sports Attorney and Mindset Coach - What Is A Pro Mindset? The Mindset That Separates The Gold Jackets From The Rest
- Steve Palazzolo, Pro Football Focus - Using Analytics In Developing The Offensive Line
Coach Wylie likes to have a former player present to get his unique perspective and this year Willie Anderson will share his insight into pass protection. He is certain to be a future hall of famer.
The C.O.O.L Clinic would not be complete without three of its founding members presenting:
- Jim McNally - Pass Protection Twist Pick Up & Independent Hand Punches
- Paul Alexander - Blocking Mechanics 2
- Bob Wylie - something special TBD
Each presenter will have his 90 minute clinic session followed by Q&A. These coaches will hang around and answer your questions. Last year Coach McNally stayed on for 4 hours, so take advantage of the live sessions!
Plus a Huge Value Add
Your ticket whether 30-day access or year-long access will include a free month of access of the soon-to-be-launched C.O.O.L. Clinic plus which will be the home of all of the historical content from the C.O.O.L. Clinic over the years.
