In order to be successful on special teams, creating buy-in from everyone involved is the priority. To create a culture of successful special teams, many special teams coordinators create a recognition system.
Whether it is through social media, helmet decals, candy bars or other awards, recognizing the efforts of those on special teams will go a long way to creating a culture of excellence only teams.
Before we get into the ideas on how to award performance. Let’s take a look at the mindset and belief necessary to have a strong special teams.
