Indiana Head Coach Tom Allen did appear at the 2020 IHSFCA Clinic, but unfortunately, the replay was not available..until now.

You’ve probably seen this on TV. It was something that the media loved and would show when they were talking about the Indiana football program. The idea of the one-word mindset comes from a book that Coach Allen read.  

Each player and coach picks a word that is important to them for the year. The team has one word, which was “Relentless” in 2020, “Chase” in 2021, and it’s “Build” in 2022.  He explains how this works in this video (click on images for videos):

Coach Allen also covered ideas on offense. One topic was 3 Ways to Create Breakthrough on Offense/

Coach Allen identified three ways that the Hoosiers created breakthrough on offense. Those are:

#1 Eliminate negative plays

#2 Control the Tempo of the Game

#3 Use a Variety of Personnel Groupings
