Coach ,

It's always satisfying when hard work and resiliency pay off for someone, especially in our great game. Joe Thomas is the embodiment of those characteristics and a great example to learn from.

Joe Thomas played 11 seasons for the Cleveland Browns. He was the third overall selection in the 2007 NFL Draft out of the University of Wisconsin, where he earned All-American honors.

Thomas’ hallmark was his consistency of performance. He played a remarkable 10,363 consecutive snaps at left tackle, which is the longest streak at any position since the NFL began recording the statistic.

He was voted to ten consecutive Pro Bowls (the only offensive lineman in NFL history to do so), achieved eight All-Pro selections, and earned a spot on the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team.

Today he will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Joe Thomas shared insight into playing offensive line at the C.O.O.L. Clinic.  In this video he and legendary OL Coach Bob Wylie discuss what makes a great offensive lineman.
