Thoughts and Prayers for the D'Alessandris Family

Coaches and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Joe D'Alessandris.
Coach D, who many of you saw recently present at the C.O.O.L. Clinic, was a fixture in the offensive line coaching community and an inspiration to us all.
While Joe made an impact on the game, his ability to connect with people on a deeper level, truly set him apart from others. He had a gift for making those around him feel valued and respected.
Whether as a coach, friend or mentor, Joe made people better, on and off the field.
As you may know, Joe was hospitalized earlier this month for an acute illness. Despite the best efforts of his medical team, Joe passed away early Sunday morning at the age of 70.
Joe's coaching career spanned 45 years, starting in college before moving to the NFL in 2008 with the Kansas City Chiefs.
His time with the Ravens was marked by excellence, especially in developing one of the best rushing attacks in the league. However, his character and the way he lived his life will always be remembered most.
As John Harbaugh said, "Coach 'Joe D.' was a man of integrity and a man of faith. He made us all better."
Please keep Joe's family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Rest in Peace Coach D.
