It started with 6 offensive line coaches getting together to share their knowledge with each other. They called it the “Mushroom Society.” Why the Mushroom Society? Jim McNally recognized the similarity between the O-Line coach and the fungus that is a mushroom. Both are kept in the dark and fed B.S. yet continue to flourish! 

What started as 6 quickly grew to hundreds of C.O.O.L. (Coaches of Offensive Linemen) that are proud to be mushrooms. Annually they would convene in Cincinnati, Ohio to learn from the best and brightest of their colleagues.

The virtual clinic world has allowed a little more light to shine on the Mushroom Society as the C.O.O.L Clinic is presented virtually May 14-15.

This clinic features Super Bowl Champion Joe Gilbert from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and FBS Champion Kyle Flood from Alabama, now the OC at Texas.

Each professional coach will speak for 2 hours and college coaches for 90 minutes.  All sessions will be followed by Q&A sessions where all cameras and mics are on. You get to ask the questions that you want answered on any aspect of offensive line play.
