#1 – Texas Longhorns: All Gas. No Brakes.

Texas enters 2025 with the pieces to chase a national championship. Arch Manning takes the reins of an offense loaded with explosive receivers and a deep backfield, while the defense—fast, violent, and returning nearly intact—could be the best in the country. The challenge? Clean up the details: penalties, turnovers, red zone efficiency, and special teams miscues. With a rebuilt offensive line and an opening clash at Ohio State, Sark’s team will be tested immediately.

And that’s exactly how he wants it.

As Steve Sarkisian puts it:

“We are an attack-oriented football team. We can’t just talk about it—we have to be about it. We attack. Attack, attack. No different than when we’re on defense, no different than on special teams. We do things fast and aggressive. We make our opponents uncomfortable with our physicality every chance we get.”

That mantra—All Gas. No Brakes.—is more than a slogan. It’s the foundation of Texas football. Every practice rep, every pursuit drill, every meeting reinforces a culture built on belief, physicality, and energy. “It’s all about the ball,” Sark emphasizes, and that shows up in both how they protect it and how they obsess over taking it away.

With Arch Manning stepping into the spotlight, a linebacker corps led by Anthony Hill Jr., and a defense loaded with future pros, Texas has the talent and culture to make a run. If the details get cleaned up, the Longhorns may be the most complete team in college football.
