Coach -
The C.O.O.L. Clinic has featured the Super Bowl, Grey Cup, and National Champions since it went virtual in 2021. Kansas City Chiefs OL Coach Andy Heck has presented twice now.
This year the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs staff headlines the C.O.O.L. Clinic™ led by Head Coach Andy Reid. Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnoulo and Defensive Line Coach Joe Cullen will join to give some defensive perspective. The clinic begins tomorrow.
Continuing the trend of champions we dive into the screen game and teaching the movements of the OL with the Kansas City Chiefs OL Coach Andy Heck.
The screen game can provide a vital quick change of pace for an offense. When blocked properly it can be a big play machine as your athletes get into space with room to run.
Take a break from the normal world of pass pro and run game schemes to understand another in-depth deeper nuance of the OL world here.

The first piece of the slow screen game is the idea that you begin with the HB screen, but you need to make it look like you are going into Pass Pro. That is the biggest key from the jump, understanding that not alerting the screen and showing an obvious differentiation to alert the DL of your plan.
Break your screenplay into steps
Set. Extend. Release. Set him normal. Influence him, and then get on your horse to find someone in space where there is a whole other set of techniques to incorporate.
Beyond this comes the idea that screens aren’t only open field, 3rd down, changeup calls where you are trying to buy a first down. They are set up and precise and can be lethal. See how you can build them into your GL sequence in this next video.
