Sea of Red

While I was shopping, I stepped into the garden center for some potting soil. To my surprise, before me was a sea of red poinsettias that filled the aisles. Typically you see a few white and pink ones in the mix, but these were all bright red. It was so beautiful that it took me by surprise...


Like my plain and simple pot, Jesus was a plain and simple man. He was born in a stable and raised in a carpenter’s home. He wasn’t adorned in royal robes, yet when His birth was prophesied, He was called the “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)...

Books in the Barn...

Mark your calendars for August 23rd for the annual Books in the Barn. More information coming first of the year with previous vendor having the first option for booths.


On the Home Front...

We are counting our blessings as life has been good to the Rodman's this year. Even though we were in a drought area, we had a good corn crop and the soybeans did okay. We are blessed as many were not as fortunate in the state.


I have taken a break from writing to replenish my soul. The time has been good, but I am ready to get back into the swing of things when time allows this winter.
