But it's the only cover I have for this series and it gives me all the vibes of the Hybrid Wolf Series world that my #NaNoWriMo novel will be based in.⁠ ⁠ Any excuse to show it off ?

Day one of using my @Lumie.lights lamp and I have to say... it works!⁠ ⁠ Today was the first time in weeks that I got out of bed by 6:30am. The light alone didn't wake me up, I did have to wait for my phone alarm, but I was definitely far less groggy and in a better mood. Even 6 hours later, I'm more awake than I would normally be on an incredibly dull day.⁠ ⁠ I've actually moved it so that the light will be in my face more the next time I wake up. It was kind of blocked by my giant stack of pillows ?⁠ ⁠ Thank you @fran.writes for the recommendation ❤️⁠ ⁠ (This isn't an ad, I'm just genuinely really impressed with the lamp and being able to get my mornings back!)

It is lashing rain here but the dull skies and scent of burning (probably fireworks ?) has really put me in the Halloween mood ?⁠ ⁠ Me and my friends usually do something to celebrate Halloween, be it a scary haunted house that makes me scream, or drunk karaoke. Not being able to browse the shops is kind of putting a damper on things. ⁠ ⁠ BUT there is plenty on Netflix to keep me going, so please drop some spooky recommendations below ?

One thing I've learned, both in life and when it comes to writing characters with depth, some of the strongest people are those who have many scars.⁠ ⁠ Just because you've been through hell and back, doesn't mean you're broken. And never let anyone make you feel like your scars are flaws, they're lessons and experience that make you stronger.⁠ ⁠ This quote was a major inspiration for the main character in another series that I've been planning because it won't sit patiently and wait until my Hybrid Wolf Series is finished ?

The fireworks have already started here, and while I don't approve of the teenagers running around risking blowing their hands off, the noise and smell of fireworks gives me all the Halloween feels!?⁠ ⁠ It all feels a bit muted this year, and I'm resisting the urge to buy a tonne of decorations just for my bedroom ? God love my boyfriend, when we live together I'll have the place done up for Halloween from September 1st ?⁠ ⁠ How is Halloween looking where you are?? We're in Stage 3 lockdown... whatever that means, they're very unclear. It's mainly cafes/pubs closed, but there's rumours the schools will close at midterm and stay closed for a while. It's going to be weird if kids can't go trick-or-treating.

But I can't deny holding some of these makes me calmer ??‍♀️ When we were in Galway, I picked up some amethyst, rose quartz and amber quartz. When it comes to music, I'm a bit weird.? My music taste is extremely varied and I'll go through phases of listening to certain songs or albums on repeat.⁠ ⁠ My current thing is watching Taylor Swift's AMA/Tour performances of 'I Did Something Bad' and it's giving me sooooo much energy and vibes for the other series... the witchy one. The one I'm not meant to be brainstorming right now. Why does my brain never listen...??⁠ ⁠ Music heavily inspires my writing, Avril Lavigne played a huge part in Wolf Bait. I think Taylor is going to be on repeat for the witch series. Now to find something that will get me back on track for what I'm SUPPOSED to be brainstorming!⁠ ⁠ Does music inspire your writing??

Writing the prequel to my Hybrid Wolf Series was easy, the story came to me and flowed. I'm glad it will be published properly, as I always felt it was too good to give away. I'm really proud of that book and can't wait to release it next year. But, thinking of a new side story isn't so easy ?⁠ ⁠ Don't get me wrong, I can think of TONNES of spin off stories... but they all would spoil things from the main series. I think I need to figure out something that took place between the prequel and Wolf Bait ??‍♀️It just can't give away my secrets!⁠ ⁠ How do you come up with side stories? As a reader, what kind of side stories do you like to read (besides prequels!)??
