KITTEN NEWS

If you're on my social media channels, you'll have spotted that I have two new furry friends. Meet Bellatrix (tortie - female) and Ash (black - male), my cute little nightmares. Bellatrix lives up to the character. Ash was a compromise with my partner. He was delving into really obscure Pokemon and I wanted something nice. He doesn't know that it's the nickname to one of my favourite book boyfriends, can you guess who?😋

When we went to the DSPCA on Saturday, they didn't expect to have kittens in, but these two had arrived that morning. Apparently they were wild and their mother disappeared, so the person feeding them handed them in. Winter here is cold and wet, thankfully it had been mild that weekend and they're all okay.

Despite being abandoned, they have wonderful little personalities and so much love to give. I knew Bella was the one when she was pulling karate cat moves in her cage, slamming a toy into the glass. Ash was much quieter, all he wanted to do was sleep.

Bella definitely has the bigger personality and more confidence, but they've both settled in now. We had to move the treadmill because Ash insisted his favourite spot was the cupholder but it wasn't safe. She explores with no fear and then he follows. That being said, as I'm writing this it was Ash who discovered he can now jump on the kitchen counter, so maybe he's the one to watch.

WRITING UPDATE

I'll be working with my cover designer on the cover for Blood Moon next week and I am SO excited. I'm terrible at putting what I want to see into words (I swear, I'm a writer 🤣), but she always reads my mind and produces a gorgeous cover. Once I have the cover and the first draft finished, you guys can have a sneak peek! 👀

This book has both Luke and Eve's POVs which has been a nice change. Luke is... Well, we all love him. Being in his head is both fun and crazy because he often goes rogue. I also met Craig's nan this week in the story and I think she's going to be a fan favourite too.

Once I have the Blood Moon cover and the full draft finished, there will be news on the official release date for Blood Moon (PREORDER IS OPEN NOW!). I'll also be updating the website and hope to have news on signed copies soon, along with a rebrand.
