If you're anything like me, you may want to be able to access the course material on your phone. So I wanted to show you how to do it just in case you didn't know about this little trick.
I recommend keeping it on the 1st page of your home screen for easy access
Add Your Course To Your Phone's Home Screen:
Here's a quick step-by-step guide to add a website to your home screen on iPhone and Android using Chrome and Safari:
- Open your course directory on your phone (my preference: chrome or safari)
- Pick a device and browser combo from below and follow the steps
iPhone (Safari)
- Open Safari and go to the desired website
- Tap the share icon (square with arrow) at the bottom of the screen
- Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
- Edit the name if desired, then tap "Add"34
Android (Chrome)
- Open Chrome and navigate to the website
- Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right
- Select "Add to Home screen"
- Edit the name if desired, then tap "Add"59
iPhone (Chrome)
- Open Chrome and navigate to the desired website
- Tap the share icon (square with an arrow) in the browser bar at the top
- Scroll down the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen"
- Edit the name of the shortcut if desired
- Tap "Add" in the top-right corner
iPhone (Chrome) (Alternate Way)
- Open the Shortcuts app
- Tap the "+" to create a new shortcut
- Search for and select "Open URLs"
- Enter the URL as "googlechromes://www.example.com"
- Tap the "..." next to "New Shortcut"
- Name the shortcut and tap "Add to Home Screen"24
Android (Samsung Internet)
- Open Samsung Internet and go to the website
- Tap the menu icon (three lines) at the bottom right
- Select "Add page to" then "Home screen"
- Tap "Add" to confirm9
Don't like Chrome or Safari? I'm sure you can do this with other browsers but I'm just not familiar with how to do so. But Youtube has everything though. :)
