Your 90-day protection plan (starting Monday)

Howdy ,

Clarity without execution is expensive journaling.

Here's how to operationalize everything from this week:

Week 1 (Jan 6-12): The Declaration

Write your ONE result in one sentence. Share it with at least one person who will ask you about it in 30 days.

Could be a peer, mentor, colleague, or friend. Just someone who'll follow up.

If you have access to someone who influences your calendar (boss, assistant, partner), tell them too. But one person minimum, that's the non-negotiable.

Saying it out loud to someone who'll check back makes it real.

Week 2-4 (Jan 13 - Feb 2): The Audit

Run your calendar through the 3-question filter. Find at least three commitments that don't pass.

Cancel, delegate, or renegotiate them.

If you genuinely can't find three things to cut, you either have the most optimized calendar I've ever seen, or you're not being honest about what actually matters.

Week 5-8 (Feb 3 - Mar 2): The Boundaries

Write down your "automatic no" list:

·       One meeting type you'll stop attending (or attend selectively)

·       One project category you'll decline

·       One request pattern that doesn't pass your filter

When similar requests come in, check this list before your brain starts rationalizing why "this one is different."

Week 9-12 (Mar 3 - Mar 30): The Evidence

Document one visible change from your ONE result. What's different than January?

Share it with your accountability person. If the progress isn't visible yet, that's diagnostic information; either your timeline was unrealistic or something's still fragmenting your focus.

Adjust and recommit for Q2.

The truth nobody tells you:

The first month is brutal. You'll disappoint people. You'll feel guilty. You'll second-guess yourself.

But around week 6-8, three things shift:

People stop expecting you to say yes to everything. They've learned you have boundaries. They find other resources first.

You have visible progress on your ONE result. That evidence makes it easier to defend your choices.

The guilt fades. You've said "no" enough times without catastrophe. It stops feeling like defiance and starts feeling like strategy.

It doesn't become automatic. But it becomes manageable.

Your move this weekend:

20 minutes. Write your ONE result in one sentence. Tell one person. Identify one commitment from next week you'll cancel or renegotiate.

Monday morning, you start protecting 2026.

What's your ONE result?

Keep winning at work and in life,
