Your weekend leadership challenge (10 minutes, maximum impact)

Howdy ,

This week we've covered goal alignment and motivation connection.

Here's a weekend challenge that ties it all together:

The 3-Circle Exercise

Grab a piece of paper. Draw three overlapping circles.

Circle 1: Personal Goals

What does each team member want for their life? Family time, financial security, learning opportunities, recognition?

Circle 2: Professional Goals

Where do they want their career to go? Promotions, new skills, leadership roles, industry expertise?

Circle 3: Company Goals

What does your organization need? Revenue growth, efficiency gains, innovation, market expansion?

Your Mission:

Find the sweet spots where all three circles overlap for each team member.

That's where motivation becomes unstoppable.

Example:

  • Team member wants financial growth (Personal)
  • Seeks project management skills (Professional)
  • Company needs efficiency improvements (Company)

Sweet Spot: Lead a process optimization project with growth opportunity tied to cost savings.

The Result: When people see their success driving your success, exceptional performance becomes natural.

Try this over the weekend.

Come Monday, you'll see your team differently.

Keep winning at work and in life.
