How to Bring That Christmas Feeling Into Your Career in 2026

Howdy ,

Christmas is two days away.

In Senegal, a predominantly Muslim country where I once lived, it was still a jolly season. Decorations everywhere. A shared sense of something beautiful on the horizon.

Work slowed. Stress took a back seat. Even the chaos of family events and office parties couldn’t drown out the lightness in the air.

In Barcelona, Spain, another place I once lived, that feeling stretched for weeks.

For some reason, El Gordo Lottery on December 22nd was the unofficial starter pistol. My colleagues tried (and failed) to convince me to buy a ticket. I don’t play in games where the house must win, and many must lose. Just me.

The real “main event” wasn’t December 25th. It was Christmas Eve – Nochebuena.

Everyone went home. Long dinners. Turrón (nougat) and sweets. Think of it like American Thanksgiving.

Our first year in Spain, we had no idea. We went into the city for photos with the Christmas lights and planned to grab takeout.

Everything was closed.

Because when something matters that much, people don’t outsource it. They show up fully.

December 25th – Navidad – was more family time. We added our Nigerian twist by inviting people over. One year, we invited a Nigerian master’s student, whom we only knew from the bus stop.

Only a foreign student really understands how much that kind of invitation feels like oxygen.

December 26th? Official first gift-opening day.

Then January 6th - Reyes Magos (Three Kings’ Day). Another wave of gifts and parades. Roscón de Reyes cake. More joy. More togetherness. I love those parades.

So why am I telling you all this?

I’m trying to stir something in you.

A sense of lightness. Rest. Aliveness. Joy.

And I want to bottle that feeling so it’s not just a December guest… but something you carry into how you work.

Most people say, “You can’t. Christmas is special because it’s temporary.”

They think joy is a vacation from reality.

I disagree.

Here’s what I’ve seen in working across continents:

The professionals who thrive, who scale their impact without collapsing, aren’t waiting for December to feel alive.

They’ve cracked a different code.

They know that Christmas lightness doesn’t come from the absence of work. It comes from the presence of clarity.

Clarity of meaning. Clarity of what matters. Clarity of what can wait.

During Christmas, you’re not:

  • refreshing email every five minutes
  • performing for a boss who’s never satisfied
  • second-guessing every decision

You’re present. You feel “enough.” You’re operating from grounded power, not constant scramble.

That state is not reserved for holidays.

It’s what happens when your career becomes an expression of who you are — not an exhausting performance of who you think you should be.

So the question isn’t: “Can work feel like this?”

The real question is: “What has to change for it to feel like this?”

That’s exactly what we’re addressing in The 2026 Breakthrough Plan Workshop on January 3rd, using The Thrive Mastery Framework.

Not vague motivation. Not another productivity hack.

You’ll get diagnostic clarity on whether you’re missing:

  • Foundation – capacity to handle pressure without breaking
  • Edge – the strategic skills that make you promotable, not just busy
  • Scale – the ability to multiply your impact without multiplying your hours

And a clear plan to build what’s missing.

Because here’s the truth most career advice avoids:

You can’t “positive-think” your way into sustainable success.

You need structure. Strategy. A methodology that works with your life, not against it.

This isn’t about working harder.

It’s about working from a completely different foundation — so joy stops being seasonal and starts being how you operate.

If you’re tired of a career that quietly drains you, and you’re ready to build one that energizes you and makes you promotion-magnetic,  secure your spot here

It’s on Zoom and kicks off at 6pm WAT/ 5pm UK/ 12pm EST

There is a token commitment fee, and this is intentional. We’re creating a room for people who are serious about transformation, not just curious.

If you’ve been carrying the weight of your career on your shoulders for years, and you’re done with the “success = sacrifice” equation…

Then yes, this is for you.

See you January 3rd, 2026

Keep Winning at Work and in Life
