When you hear, "We're rolling AI out to everyone," what do you feel first?

🔹 Excitement? 🔹 Quiet fear? 🔹 Or, "Here comes more work…"?

Here's the truth: AI is not here to replace your genius. It's here to replace your busywork.

If you're mid-career, your real risk is not "AI taking your job." Your real risk is junior people using AI better than you – and outpacing your visible results.

Over the next 90 days, focus on three things:

1. List your low-value tasks – Reports, summaries, basic analysis, repetitive emails.
2. Pick 3 tasks to "AI-outsource" – Use AI to draft → you edit for judgment and context.
3. Make the impact visible – "Last month this report took me 4 hours; now it's 45 minutes, so I used the time to deepen our analysis on X and Y."

AI doesn't automatically make you high-impact. Using AI to amplify the right work does.

The shift isn't technical. It's strategic.

Your years of experience give you something AI will never have: judgment about what matters, context about why it matters, and relationships that turn insights into action. AI gives you speed. You bring the direction.

So the question isn't "Will AI change my workplace?" It already has. The real question is: Will you lead that change, or watch others do it?

Between me and you? The professionals who win in the next 24 months won't be the ones who know AI best. They'll be the ones who use it to make their judgment, expertise, and strategic thinking impossible to ignore.
