Skills + Networking ≠ Success. Here's What's Missing.

We've covered skills, learning, and networking this week. But here's what most career advice misses: none of it matters if you're building on the wrong foundation.

The Missing Foundation: Sustainable performance comes from alignment between who people are and what they do.

Your Values Audit:

Answer these three questions:

1.  What do you value most about work beyond the paycheck?

2. Which of your core values does your current role allow you to express?

3. Where's the biggest gap between who you are and what your work asks you to be?

Why This Matters: When your work aligns with your values, everything else gets easier. You have more energy. You make better decisions. You attract the right opportunities. You build authentic professional relationships.

When there's misalignment, you're constantly swimming upstream.

Your Weekend Challenge: Look at the skills you're building, the connections you're making, and the opportunities you're pursuing. Are they moving you toward work that honors who you are, or just work that pays well?

Then spend 15 minutes thinking about how you can bring more of your authentic self to work next week. Small steps count.

Because career success isn't just about becoming more valuable to others. It's about becoming more true to yourself.
