Three dimensions. One honest question.
Howdy ,
Now and again, I work with professionals who are navigating a higher level of responsibility.
Some have a brave face…they go in with courage.
Some are a bit unsure of themselves…not unexpected. Sometimes all they need is a cheerleader to urge them on.
I should know. Why?
Because I have gone through that too.
Taking up an appointment in Spain with an all-Spanish office cast was the fish-out-of-water role of me.
I didn’t need a cheerleader…I needed someone to help me get my head out of the fog. The fog of thinking that I might struggle with the new role.
A 30-minute meeting with Dr Sam Adeyemi did that for me. I am going to do that for you.
Because that fog is not unique to me. It kicks in now and again in talented professionals navigating bigger responsibilities…people who have the ability but cannot yet see it clearly enough to act from it.
Today I want to give you something that helps…whether you are preparing for the next level or already in it and finding it harder than you expected.
There are three dimensions to sustainable professional growth.
Not one. Three.
The first is what you can handle. Your capacity for pressure, complexity, and sustained performance without breaking down. This is your foundation. Everything else rests on it.
The second is what you can do. Your skills, your learning velocity, your ability to take on challenges that exceed where you currently are. This is your edge.
The third is how you multiply. Your ability to create impact beyond your personal output…through others, through systems, through influence. This is your scale.
Most professionals are strong in one. Developing in another. Neglecting the third entirely.
And here is the part that matters most:
The sequence is not optional. You cannot build a lasting edge on an unstable foundation. You cannot scale impact you have not yet learned to sustain.
Development that skips a stage does not accelerate growth. It delays it…usually at significant personal cost.
One honest question for today:
Which of these three are you currently neglecting?
You probably already know.
If you want to think it through with someone who can help you see it clearly…and map what to do about it…that is exactly what a Multiplier Session with me is designed for.
One conversation. Focused entirely on where you are, what dimension needs attention next, and what the path forward looks like.
Reply with "Multiplier" and I will send you the details.
As always, keep winning at work and in life.
