Welcome to the March 15th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

I am writing this from the hospital.

No...it's nothing too serious.

Currently waiting for a bit of this and that before the next thing.

I haven't been at full peak for a few days. So I'm spending Sunday sorting it out before the week starts.

Writing this on my phone..in case you catch any typos I missed😁.

But I'm also redeeming the time while I wait for hospitals to do the things they do.

I am having some devotional time and a bit of reset for the next phase of things for me.

The verdict I came to is this - I can do things faster. I can achieve results faster.

God wants me to achieve things faster.

Now.

I am reseting my routine for speed. And I am doing something more.

I am starting a 40-day fast. I just came to that decision. I'll be going home to share with my wife how I'll be doing it.

I'll be doing it in a way that doesn't impact my work and family responsibilities.

But gives me more time to invest in prayer, meditation and study of the word.

I am building my routine for speed.

Spiritual power for speed, mental routine for speed, daily practices for speed.

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.

Isa.40.31.AMP

Things I Learnt

1-Ideas are for Action: During the week, I had a call with one of my mentors.

During our conversation, I shared the frame of a particular idea I was working on.

His advice was very poignant. He wanted to go into implementation very quickly.

This was a grand idea that would need more people outside my usual sphere to get to the finish line.

As we continued, I could start imagining the different people to bring on-board.

When we finished the call, I checked my phone contact list and saw that I had the contact of some of these people.

This is what happens when udeas move to action - the right people to accelerate execution start coming to mind.

Ideas are for action...not for romancing.

2-When We Do Not: When we do not do what God asks us to do, God gives the task to someone else.

There is no vacuum in meeting the needs that God has seen.

If we do not do it, God will tell someone else to do it.

Someone reminded me of that during the week.

A reminder and a warning.

Postscript

May you be faithful to do all God has called you to do. Amen

If this encouraged you, please share it with a friend who needs it. And if you are not subscribed yet, make sure you are on the list so you do not miss the next one.
