You walk like Japanese…

Those were the words of my mentor from Japan while working on a project managing 100 health facilities in Lagos working with the government.

Japanese people are known to be very resilient, and hard-working. Very smart and innovative.

One of the things you should also know about Japanese people is that they are very reserved people.

How did I know that? Let me tell you a short story…

When I got my first international job in 2017 after working as a volunteer for 5 years without paying for a job in the health sector.

I see that look on you, don’t be surprised. I get that look all the time when I tell this story, saying I worked as a volunteer for 5 years. 

The question is how did you survive working for free for 5 years? 

I learnt this tough lesson from a mentor when he said, 

“Don't wish it was easier wish you were better. Don't wish for less problems wish for more skills. Don't wish for less challenge wish for more wisdom”

So when I say I have been there, trust me I have been there. More than just being there. I have in the last decade trained over 3000 people in career, business and start-ups and many collaborative projects both local and international.

But did I just arrive at this point? Definitely no. It all started the day I decided

Transitioning from studying Physics into working in the health sector for a decade now and becoming an Online Entrepreneur and Consultant all happened with an understanding of the above highlight.

When I met the expert from Japan who was the chief of the project. I remember we started work on his arrival at the project office from day one. With his experience in project management, coordination, and data analytics.

I learned so much that most time we would be left alone to have brainstorming time to discuss data.

Those years of experience working with him were the defining moment in my life that shaped everything I am becoming now because his mentorship challenged me to be better every day.
