This program was held in Sept 2023 and is now available free to Projectkin members as a recording in the Event Archives.
Many of our projects get their distinctive richness from combinations of media in the physical and online worlds. The simplest way to combine these two is the lowly QR or “Quick Response” code. This simple technology, born in the 1990s, has become essential to connecting Internet information to our everyday world of places and objects. Learn more about QR codes and Family History Projects here.
This tutorial will give you the background you'll need to use QR Codes in your own projects. Soon, videos, presentations, databases, and more will all be accessible to family and friends as you share your projects.
Your host, Barbara Tien, is one of the co-founders at Ponga.com and the "ring leader" here in our post-Ponga community. We use these programs to share techniques and discoveries. Have an idea for a new program or guest speaker? Reach out to Barbara at projectkin.org@gmail.com and suggest it!
This event is a great example of ProjectKin members learning from other members. As with all of our programs, everyone will have access to a recording of the session and the opportunity to discuss questions about metadata with other participants in our free community forum.
If you're not currently a member, you're very welcome to join us for free. You'll also receive news about other ProjectKin events. All emails will come from projectkinorg@gmail.com. Unsubscribe at any time.
