{{contact.first_name}}, judge this book by its cover

"You can't judge a book by its cover" is one of those sayings everyone's heard. And it's wrong.
(There's another one of those sayings that's equally wrong. Scroll down to find out what it is).
Back to judging a book by its cover. We all know it's true. We readers are inundated with so many books (I know, first world problems) that we often take a glance at a cover and decide in a fraction of a second to not buy the book.
Is that fate in store for my next book, a short novel hitting bookstores on June 30? As members of my Readers Club, you get to see the cover before anyone else. Drop a line and let me know if it makes you curious to turn the page.
(Oh, that other common saying that's flat out wrong? "Nuke the site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure."
No. Ask any grunt. They'll tell you. You can't control a place by pressing a button in a climate-controlled command center. The only way to be sure is by putting boots on the ground.)
If the cover whet your appetite, I'll be back in a week with more information about Love and Death in the City of Bone.
Happy reading!
