Hi ,

I hope you're having a great Thursday! Mine's been good. I'm over a bout of Covid and my family has a week-long trip to the lake coming up. I'll try to get photos or video of the Fourth of July fireworks for you.

On top of that, you might have noticed my next book, a science fiction short novel called Love and Death in the City of Bone, released today.

I know some of you have already downloaded your free review copy. If you have, please consider leaving an honest review at your bookstore of choice, or Goodreads or BookBub. (or more than one, but don't strain a muscle on my account).

Leaving a review is a piece of cake:

1) click the link below for the store of your choice; should take you right to the book page

2) sign in if prompted

3) select a star rating

4) write a few short words (or long words, I won't judge)

5) submit your review

The reason I'm asking for reviews: reader reviews are the lifeblood of any author's career. For a humble keyboard-pounder like myself, getting reviews helps my books find their audience. And, yes, helps me make sales.

Reviews especially help if they come early after publication. Books aren't lettuce, they don't spoil, but tell that to the algorithms....

Also, something like 99% of readers don't leave reviews. That means if you do, you have an oversized impact on science fiction. Without needing a million subscribers on YouTube.

Though I'd appreciate a review, you don't have to leave one. The book is yours to read for free, as my thanks to you for being a member of my Launch Team. Just click that link and enter your email address when prompted. The good folks at StoryOrigin will get the book to you in the format you prefer. Here is that link again:
