The AI Mirror — See Yourself More Clearly

Jul 18, 2025 4:01 pm

Hey you,

Before we talk AI… let’s talk mirrors.

Growth doesn’t start with action. It starts with awareness.

And awareness requires reflection.

That’s what most people miss about AI.

It’s not just a tool for doing more.

It’s a tool for seeing more.

When used right, AI becomes a mirror—

Reflecting your tone. Your blind spots. Your brilliance.

And sometimes? Your excuses.

Here’s your first Growth Note:

3 Ideas on Using AI as a Mirror

  1. Clarity Check – Paste your email, LinkedIn post, or pitch into ChatGPT and ask: “What’s the emotional tone of this?” The response might surprise you.
  2. Blind Spot Finder – Ask: “What might be unclear or confusing to someone reading this for the first time?” Watch how quickly it spots what you overlooked.
  3. Confidence Booster – Paste your elevator pitch and ask: “How could I say this more powerfully while still sounding like myself?”

2 Quotes to Reflect On

“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”
– Aristotle

“You can’t change what you refuse to confront.”
– James Baldwin

1 Stretch for the Week

What’s one area of your communication you’ve been avoiding feedback on—
and how could AI help you face it with clarity instead of judgment?

That’s it. Short, powerful, and now… up to you.

This week, don’t just use AI to create.

Use it to reflect.

Use it to grow.

More soon—until then, speak boldly.

—Kamryn

For those who I met in Beaumont, here is a little extra

This is the most important prompt to get started on your AI journey:

“I’d like you to get to know me so you can respond to future requests in a way that sounds like me and fits my style.

Please ask me 10 thoughtful questions—designed for voice response—that will help you understand my personality, communication style, business goals, and preferences.

I’ll answer each one using my voice, and I’d like you to use those answers to shape your future responses to me.”

The anatomy of a prompt, how to ask in a way to get what you want:

To level up your prompts, use these 3 techniques:

  1. Act as...
  2. ...in the style of...
  3. Ask me questions to clarify

Example:

“Act as a professional sales coach that trains Fortune 50 Companies to develop their skills. Help me create a 6 week process to train my sales team to be dangerous! I want to use negotiation styles from Jim Camp and Chris Voth and sales tactics mastered by the best door to door salesmen. This will be a 2 hour training once a week on Tuesdays. I want to include practices, role plays, and stories that will stick.

Please ask me 5 to 10 questions about my business and goals to understand the content we will need to make this training truly powerful”
