Funeral Assistance in Houston
Jan 11, 2021 8:26 pm
As of today, 2,696 people have passed away due to COVID 19 in Harris County.
On top of the grief of losing a loved one, families are also forced to scramble to find the funds to bury their family members. It becomes even more stressful for families who do not have life insurance or burial policies.
To help some of these families nonprofits and county social services departments offer funeral assistance programs in Harris County. These programs can help with both burials or cremations.
In our latest guide titled Funeral Assistance Houston: Find Harris County Charities To Help Your Family With Funeral Cost I've included information about:
- Nonprofits who can help you with funeral expenses.
- Funeral consultants to refer you to funeral homes, caskets, and cemetery plots to fit your budget.
- Information about the COVID 19 Lost Loved One Fund which pays $3500 to families who lose a family member due to COVID. These funds can be used to pay for a funeral, hospital bills, or rent.
Hopefully, you or your clients don't need this resource, but if so start with agencies like 3A Bereavement or Harris County Social Services.
Peace,
Nick Bryant
