Was your message ignore?

Hello , I am so sorry if you ever got ignored in the Dm or inbox by your dream mentor.

I know It is not easy navigating this storm route of the business alone without a guide.

A lot of startups cannot really afford some of the good coaches because they are not cheap and so they opt for mentorship which some assume should be free..... e shock you?

Mentorship is a huge responsibility and way different from coaching.

A coach will tell you what to do while a Mentor will show you how it is done either by him doing it or holding your hands to do. It can be very exhausting, believe me.

I see a lot of younger folks especially, just jump into the Dm " mentor me ma, I am a huge fan" mentor me, Coach, I love what you do"

Most times these messages get ignored

Don't blame them for ignoring you, they addressed you the way you presented yourself....desperate and not serious.

I have been ignored...eehh e pain me sha till I learned to do it in a much better way.

Here are a few ways to prevent being ignored by your future mentor

1] Greet them and introduce yourself

Please don't go "dearie" them in their inbox. be smart and professional

2]Establish common ground with them

This is where you let them know how you got to know them and emphasize those key areas of their life or business that amaze you. Even God delights in the praises of His people.

3] Be clear and brief about your mission in their inbox/Dm

As much as possible, let your mission be as clear and brief as possible because not everyone has time for back and forth.

4] Seal it up and apply a little pressure

You need a response right? good

end with pleasantries and then apply little pressure by telling just how much you look forward to getting a favorable response from them

If they still don't respond,

5]offer to buy their course, ebook anything to get their attention.

This shows you are ready to invest in what they do as they invest in you. time is also a great investment.

6] Be valuable

Look for a loophole in their system that you can fix or offer to work for them voluntarily.

who doesn't like to be relieved?

How did you feel when your message was ignored?
